I design and produce custom wooden signs and plaques, produced from selected quality timbers. The text and designs are hand routed or carved and/or painted with high quality acrylic paint.
Each sign or plaque is unique, this can be by your own design upon agreement and feasibility of the project. The signs will last for years, names and numbers will not wear off as they are carved into the surface of the wood.
I produce signs for many uses, they may be house numbers or names, business names and logos, room name plaques, desk nameplates, allotment plot signs, plant or crop markers, commemorative or in fact anything that you require marking for identification.
Most fonts can be hand routed and custom inset or outset designs can be carved. Signs and plaques can be any size but the number of letters and their size will be a guiding factor.
If you want a simple House number or name or something a little more unique, simply phone/text or e-mail me and we can discuss your needs in more detail. Have a design or logo in mind? Just email me with your requirements or ideas and a design proof can be drawn up for your approval.
Obviously the more intricate the design and number of letters required increased the overall price, I will provide a copy of the proposed design proof by e-mail or post for your approval so you will know exactly what the finished sign or plaque will look like along with a cost for the piece. Once you're happy with the design and layout payment can be made via Paypal (you don't need to have a paypal account to pay via Paypal) or Cheque and your work will be started.
Average turnaround time is around 3 to 5 working days, depending on current workload and the intricacy and sizeof the proposed work.
Signs are produced from hand selected timbers, for exterior work you can choose from either solid Oak or Cedar (when available) or even Pine, each will last for many years as the premium grade varnish or Oil will protect your sign from everything the weather can throw at it. For interior signs or plaques Pine or MDF is typically used, these are perfectly suited for the task as they are lightweight but still extremely tough
I take great pride in my work and this ensures a quality and truly unique product that will last and last inside or out. Exterior signs will require yearly maintenance to ensure they stay protected and looking good.
